Co-Founder and President, John Kokolakis, brings over 15 years of experience in commercial, government, healthcare and multifamily residential sectors to Matko Construction. John has successfully overseen over $150 million in construction projects throughout his career. His understanding of project management, client relations and hands-on approach has positioned Matko Construction as a leader in the general contracting field, consistently exceeding client expectations.  As a leader, John's dedication to his workforce and ability to lead teams effectively has been a pivotal part of the success.

Alex Matzkin

Executive Vice President

Co-founder and Executive Vice President of Matko Construction, Alex leads business development and helps drive the company’s growth and success. A Tampa native, Alex is passionate about contributing to the development of his hometown.

Before co-founding Matko Construction, Alex had a distinguished career in manufacturing, where he designed and operated state-of-the-art facilities in California and Colorado. His hands-on experience in managing large-scale projects and operations has given him a unique perspective on efficiency, precision, and innovation in construction.
